MUSIC | RYAN GOSLING DEAD MAN’S BONES FOR HALLOWEEN

Hipster Halloween

Back in 2009, Actor Ryan Gosling and friend Zach Shields created a band called Dead Man’s Bones. The duo created something unique,  a strange mash-up of indie rock, with a ghouls and ghost theme. Think ‘The Munsters’ and ‘The Addams Family’ meets acoustic rock, and 60s doo wop. Backed by vocals from the Silverlake Conservatory Children’s Choir, the album is a pretty creative and is surprisingly a good listening experience. It’s toe tapping, head-bopping, sing-along stuff.

Impress your Halloween party guests with some beats from Dead Man’s Bone’s. Unfortunately, the song ‘Name in Stone’ was not included on the album, but you can watch it, along with a Pitchfork documentary about a talent show concert, below.
