BLADE is BACK!

The iconic half-vampire, vampire slayer is in the development from Marvel Studios and Disney. ‘Blade, the Vampire Slayer’ working title, stars Oscar winning Mahershala Ali (Alita: Battle Angel) as Blade.

Stacey Osei-Kuffour (Watchmen) is attached to write the script for Blade via Hollywood Reporter.

Osei-Kuffour was story editor on Watchmen the series, and has writing credits for the show Hunters starring Al Pacino.

Who knows maybe Wesley Snipes will randomly show up. Anything is possible with Marvel Studios and Disney.

Wesley Snipes has had a bit of a career resurgence with Coming 2 America alongside Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall. Snipes also was recurring on the show Paper Empire.

Blade first appeared in The Tomb of Dracula #10 (July 1973) created by Marv Wolfman and penciller Gene Colan and has gone on to be one the the favorite Marvel characters.

In 2006 there was a live-action Blade TV show called Blade: The Series that lasted for one season on Spike TV. It starred Onyx rapper Sticky Fingaz (Kirk Jones).

In 2011, there was Marvel Anime series featuring Blade. Voiced by Harold Perrineau.
