The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is coming to Disney+ March 19. The series follows two fan favorites from the Marvel Cinematic Universe The Falcon, and The Winter Soldier.
You might remember The Falcon aka Samuel Thomas Wilson from Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Avengers movies. Falcon is played by Anthony Mackie (Altered Carbon, The Hurt Locker).
The Falcon was introduced by Stan Lee and Gene Colan in Captain America #117 (1969) and was the first African American superhero in mainstream comic books. As of 2015, Falcon is also the new Captain America after the original Steve Rogers retires. This was also shown in Avengers: Endgame.
The Winter Solider aka Bucky Barnes from Captain America: The Winter Solider played by Sebastian Stan (Once Upon a Time, Gossip Girl). The Winter Solider character was created in comics by Joe Simon as Captain America’s sidekick.
