The Star Trek: Discovery spin-off following the adventures of Captain Pike, Number One, and Spock has started production in Toronto!
A teaser video has been released which also reveals the addition of FIVE new cast members!

Joining Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, and Ethan Peck are Babs Olusanmokun (Marvel’s The Defenders, Dune) , Christina Chong (Doctor Who, Johnny English Reborn), Celia Rose Gooding (Jagged Little Pill), Jess Bush (Les Norton), and Melissa Navia (Billions, Homeland).
Their characters are currently nameless and have not been revealed on IMDB or Wikipedia.
We can only assume that one or more of these new cast members will play an alien with heavy makeup.

Strange New Worlds promises to bring back the adventure and exploration aspect of Star Trek with characters from the Original Series Captain Pike, Spock, and Number One on the Starship Enterprise, pre-Captain Kirk. The three characters were fan favorites on Discovery.
Strange New Worlds is set for Paramount+.
