Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger games) joins a largely unknown cast in the new Power Rangers movie. The reboot film about a group of teenagers from Angel Grove who become Kaiju superheroes is set to start shooting in Vancouver, Canada in February, 2016.
Banks will be playing the role of head villain Rita Repulsa. Yes, fans of the series will remember Rita Repulsa, and her monster making machine. The character was portrayed by Machiko Soga in the original series.
The Hollywood Reporter, Power Rangers twitter accounts confirmed the news, as well as Banks also tweeted the news.
The most important thing is whether Banks will utter the famous lines the character is known for such as ‘Make My Monster Grow!’ and “After 10,000 years, I’m free! It’s time to conquer Earth!! Time to play”
