Really, Marvel? Why has it come to this?

July 17, 2015 is the scheduled release for Ant-Man. Will this movie be dead on arrival? It’s still too early to tell, but something tells me that Ant-Man might not be the success that Marvel is hoping for.

Edgar Wright was originally attached to direct the movie, but left the production due to creative differences.

The character itself is not as familiar to mainstream audiences as the big dogs Superman, Wolverine, Iron Man, or Captain America.

Certainly, hardcore comic book fans will appreciate this addition to the Marvel movie universe, but is Ant-Man strong enough to hold it’s own as a major Marvel movie franchise?
