The next Star Trek film has been in the works for a while with a constantly changing group of writers and directors. From Quentin Tarantino to S.J. Clarkson, to Noah Hawley, Nicholas Meyer and Kalinda Vazquez Star Trek really is a challenging franchise to develop into a movie.
The latest news has WandaVision directed Matt Shakman attached to a new Trek movie. The untitled trek film would continue with JJ Abrams producing and the cast from the previous reboot films.
Shakman has worked mainly in TV with credits on The Boys, Strange Angels, Psych, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Good Wife.
It should be interesting to see how the next Star Trek film comes along. Stay tuned!
The last Star Trek film was Star Trek Beyond released in 2016. Star Trek 4 is planned for 2023.
