FIRST LOOK

Star Trek: Prodigy is the latest addition to the Star Trek Universe. A new fully animated Star Trek series for Nickelodeon and Paramount+ from Dan and Kevin Hageman (LEGO Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu, Hotel Transylvania) .

“A group of teenagers steal a derelict Starfleet vessel and use it to explore the galaxy.”

Sounds like good fun with lots of opportunity to expand on Star Trek. The series brings back Kathryn Janeway played by Kate Mulgrew from Star: Trek Voyager . The show is geared towards a younger audience, though I’m sure Trekkies of all ages will enjoy it.

The show is set for release in 2021 on Nickelodeon and Paramount+.
