Fans your prayers have been answered. David Lynch has announced on his twitter that Twin Peaks, the cult classic television series will be returning in 2016, this time on Showtime 25 YEARS later. The series gained a cult following with it’s unique supernatural, mystery, comedy, creepy factor with Lynches unique writing and vision. The new series will be a limited run marking Season 3 of the series.
The groundbreaking television phenomenon, Golden Globe® and Peabody Award-winner TWIN PEAKS will return as a new limited series on SHOWTIME in 2016. Series creators and executive producers David Lynch and Mark Frost will write and produce all nine episodes of the limited series, and Lynch will direct every episode. Set in the present day, TWIN PEAKS will continue the lore of the original series, providing long-awaited answers and a satisfying conclusion for the series’ passionate fan base.

Here’s hoping they make a return to original locations like Twede’s Cafe in North Bend, Washington outside Seattle.
