SONIC THE HEDGEHOG

 

 

Director Jeff Fowler announced on his Twitter account production of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is officially underway!

James Marsden (Tom Wachowski), Tika Sumpter (Maddie Wachowski) and Ben Schwartz (Voice of Sonic) are attached to return with Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik.

The creator of Sonic the videogame Yuji Naka also reacted to the news.

The first Sonic the Hedgehog movie was a surprise success and pleased many fans after the original Sonic Movie design was criticized.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 plans to introduce Tails, Miles “Tails” Prower, the two-tailed sidekick, and maybe even Knuckles!

The movie is written by Pat Casey, and Josh Miller.

Filming is taking place in Vancouver, and Hawaii.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is set for April 8, 2022 release!
