It’s official! Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is coming JUNE 9, 2021. The announcement was made on social media. Capitalizing on the excitement after the Closed Beta Test, Sega is dropping the next installment in the PSO2 series VERY SOON to kick off the summer.

PSO2: New Genesis is a brand new and completely modern action MMORPG. Big open world, more character customization, improved graphics, and gameplay.

The original PSO2 was released in 2012 in Japan only, followed by Southeast Asia. Western players managed to play it unofficially. Officially, PSO2 was released in 2020. That’s right, 8 YEARS for PSO2 to reach international gamers.

 

I guess that gave SEGA plenty of time to develop NEW GENESIS. This time however, they’re releasing it to everyone around the GLOBE. Sega finally realizes that international gamers are just as dedicated and important to their business.

 

PSO2 NEW GENESIS is FREE TO PLAY with subscription option.
