The new music video for Kanye West’s ‘Black Skinhead’ features a computer generated West, in a surreal black and white world. Barking dogs, pointy cone heads, it’s all meant to be aggressive, and arty.
Unfortunately, this video just reminds me of a CG Tupac, and bad CGI. It’s reminiscent of early computer graphics, like a student getting a hold of Blender or MotionBuilder software for the very first time. Kanye flails around, and distorts in glitchy CGI fashion.
The unique thing about the video is the tech. The video player lets users take screen shots of any part of the video, as well as adjust the speed of the video.
Watch the video on Kanye’s website.
