These days it’s pretty common to hear music influenced, inspired, or directly sampled from videogames. The bleeps, and blips of retro gaming, is pretty prevalent in electronic pop music. For gamers, 8-bit sounding beats, and sounds, instantly bring to mind the old days when videogames were a lot more simplistic.
7bit Hero creates catchy tunes, with indie pop anthems not entirely chiptune. The band is based in Brisbane, and will be playing PAX Australia this Saturday. They incorporate a smartphone app during their live performances for audience members to join in on the fun.
