Star Trek: Axanar has completely redefined what a fan- film is. Most Trekkies are used to the low budget, badly green screened fan videos, littering the internet, but for the crew behind Axanar, aiming higher, much, much higher was their sole mission, and I’d say they’ve accomplished exactly that.

The production values, casting, and writing are on a professional level. Axanar has a unique take on the Trek universe, told through Documentary style interviews, and flashbacks. The tone is certainly, all about war. Kind of like if Battlestar Galactica had a baby with Deep Space 9.

Their successful Kickstarter campaign has ensured that the film will get made.
