MOTOROLA | PROJECT ARA MODULAR SMARTPHONE MAKER

It’s one thing to customize your smartphones back plate like on the Moto X, it’s another thing to build your smartphone entirely from modules.

‘Project Ara‘ is Motorola’s initiative to make building and customizing a modular opensource smartphone mainstream to reduce waste.

To get involved with this, you’ll have to sign up to become an Ara Scout on dscout.

Motorola and Phonebloks have also teamed up.
