We’ve heard little to no news about Motorola’s Wood back option for the Moto X since it the flagship Google phone hit the market. That is, until this morning. @evleaks just posted a screenshot of Moto Maker featuring the wood panel options : Teak, Ebony, Rosewood, and Bamboo. At $50 a pop, as previously rumored.
If this is the type of customization that you’ve been waiting for before dropping some cash on a Moto X, you can relax. Motorola hasn’t cancelled it, unlike the early ‘engraving’ option. No mention of a date yet, but it’s possible the option will appear on Moto Maker November 11th.
Now, it remains to be seen if Moto Maker will ever be available to customers outside of the US. (Canadians, keep your fingers crossed!)
