Cruel World

 

Disney is dropping the trailer to Cruella TOMORROW  February 17, 2021.

The live-action prequel feature film following a younger Cruella de Vil — the villain from One Hundred and One Dalmatians — is played by Emma Stone.

The Hundred and One Dalmatians was a children’s novel originally published in 1956 and written by Dodie Smith. It was adapted to animation by Disney in 1961.

In 1996 Disney made a live-action version called 101 Dalmations starring Glenn Close as Cruella de Vil.

 

Cruella de Vil became a fan favorite and Disney thought it was time to capitalize on her popularity.

 

The poster looks like a 80s punk album cover. Disney teased Cruella at D23 Expo in 2019.

 

Cruella is set to release May 2021.
