ALIEN SERIES IN DEVELOPMENT AT FX RIDLEY SCOTT NOAH HAWLEY XENOMORPH | TV | SUSHIBOMB.NET
XENOMORPHS!
Back in December it was announced that an ‘Alien’ series is in development at FX. Taking place somewhere in the ‘Alien’ universe, the show was announced at Disney Investor Day by FX chief John Landgraf. Noah Hawley (Fargo, Legion’s) is attached as creator/executive producer.
At the time of the announcement they were still in negotiations with Ridley Scott the director of the original Alien, and sequels Prometheus, and Alien: Covenant.
“FX is moving quickly to bring audiences the first television series based on one of the greatest science- fiction horror classics ever made: ‘Alien,’” Landgraf said.
Sounds like they are fast tracking the series to keep the franchise alive since the ‘Alien’ prequels Prometheus and Alien: Covenant fell flat with audiences.
Ridley Scott most recently directed the first two episodes of Raised by Wolves (2020) for HBO Max. The series follows two androids raising humans on an alien world. Raised by Wolves was created by Aaron Guzikowski. Scott Free Productions was involved with production. Season 1 of Raised by Wolves could easily be an ‘Alien’ series.
Hopefully we learn more about Alien series on FX on Alien Day 2021.
Alien is currently in development at @FXNetworks. The first TV series based on the classic film series is helmed by Fargo and Legion’s @noahhawley. Expect a scary thrill ride set not too far in the future here on Earth. pic.twitter.com/KBigUGnXpB
