In real-life we’re still quite a ways from seeing the exoskeleton outside of research and development, but thanks to Hollywood, and the expert visual effects artists, costume designers and prop makers, sci-fi movie goers are treated to the kind of technology that we could only dream about.

The exosuit or exoskeleton gives the user extra strength and speed well beyond the limits of human ability. From James Cameron’s ‘Aliens’ to ‘The Matrix’, ‘District 9’, ‘Elysium’, and ‘Edge of Tomorrow’, there’s a bad ass exoskeleton for every ass kicking situation.

So which exoskeleton would win in a fight, Tom Cruise or Matt Damon?
