SAKE, POCKY AND SPIRITED AWAY

Göteborg, Sweden – It’s amazing how certain songs just get stuck in your head. When I invited some friends for dinner, one started humming a familiar tune. We realized it was the catchy ending song in Spirited Away and so began our conversation on the amazing, fantastical worlds, Hayao Miyazaki and his team at Studio Ghibli have created in their films.

Being a fan of Miyazaki’s work, it was fitting that I introduced the other friend (who had not heard of Miyazaki before) to her first Miyazaki film. What better way to enjoy a Japanese animated film than with some Japanese snacks & drinks!
